About Us

Hallmoor School is an all -through (4 to 19) Special School situated in the eastern area of Birmingham within the Hodge Hill constituency.

Pupils attend the school from across Birmingham and some other neighbouring local authorities, principally Solihull.

All of the children who attend Hallmoor School have a Statement of Special Educational Need or an Education and Health Care Plan. Our school educates children with cognition and learning needs. Children may have Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech Language and Communication Difficulties or a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Some children have additional needs including visual impairment and hearing impairment and associated behaviour difficulties.

In our endeavour to meet these wide ranging educational and social needs, we provide an appropriate curriculum, which encompasses and extends the National Curriculum. Our whole school curriculum model provides a natural progression from an Early Years Foundation Learning programme, towards full participation within the National Curriculum framework, with programmes designed for and implemented at an appropriate level.

Come along to the upcoming Careers Fayre on Tuesday 11th November. The event is designed to support students and their parents/carers in exploring the many pathways available after Year 11 and Year 13, helping them make informed decisions about their future education and career goals. Whether your child is considering academic study, vocational training, or work-based learning, the Careers Fayre offers valuable insights and guidance to find the right fit.

Families will receive a letter advising a time slot.

Please speak to the school office if you have any questions
