Uniform

There is an official school uniform which we do expect pupils to wear. The uniform list will be provided to new parents/carers. Uniform can be purchased for school from our uniform provider, details of which will be given to parents/carers when admission to school is agreed. Our uniforms are chosen to be comfortable, practical, and appropriate.

Our School Uniform:

  • White short or long-sleeved shirt or polo shirt (with logo is optional)
  • Navy blue sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan (with logo is optional)
  • Dark grey or black trousers, joggers, shorts or skirt. (Some pupils, especially those needing help with their personal care, those with mobility issues or those who because of their sensory needs find fastenings challenging may be more comfortable in joggers).
  • Blue and white checked dresses can be worn in summer.
  • For some activities, we may ask that long hair be tied back for safety and/or hygiene
    reasons.
  • For safety reasons, ear piercings should be small studs only.
  • Shoes should be safe, practical and comfortable.
    PE and Swimming Kit
  • Sport shorts or joggers (dark colour where possible)
  • Plain T-shirt (preferably white)
  • Trainers and/or pumps
  • For swimming – a costume and large towel will be required (a suitable swim nappy must also be sent in for each session where necessary)
  • Brought to school in own choice of bag

Parents/Carers are asked to supply their child with a clearly named PE kit and if required as part of the school’s curriculum offer, they may need a swimming costume and towel for swimming sessions.

If parents/carers feel that their child may require a change of clothes during the school day, the school is happy to keep a spare set of school uniform. A limited amount of clothing is kept in school for emergency purposes. Soiled items of clothing are securely bagged in school and returned to parents/carers at the end of the day. All clothing should be clearly labelled with the child’s name.
