We’re pleased to announce that Hallmoor School has gone from a “requires improvement” to a “Good” rating in our recent Ofsted report. This fantastic achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our school’s leadership team, staff, parents, and students.
Our recent ofsted inspection took place on the 13th & 14th December last year. We’re incredibly pleased with the outcome and have been excited to share this wonderful news with our school community. We have been rated Good in all areas!
The report highlights several areas of notable development:
- Focus on student voice: Recognizing the importance of empowering young people, Ofsted commends our efforts in “helping young people find their voices and their place in modern-day Birmingham.”
- Collaborative spirit: The report acknowledges the positive working relationships between “staff, parents and carers” who collaborate to “overcome any barriers” faced by students.
- High expectations: We’re proud of our staff’s commitment to setting “high expectations for what skills and knowledge pupils will learn and how.” This ensures every student receives the optimal challenge and support to reach their full potential.

While we celebrate these successes, we remain focused on continuous improvement. We recognize there are still areas where we can refine our practices and further enhance the educational experience for our students. We take the Ofsted feedback seriously and will utilize it to inform our ongoing development plans.
